About Me

We just passsed our two year mark here in the Boston area. Since rent is so high and interest rates so low, we decided to buy a piece of real estate in Medford, MA. That's 'Mehfud' to the locals. It is a money pit delux and Larry is in his element, making it livable. We thought it would be fun to start a blog to share news and photos with you for your enjoyment and sympathy:). Larry is known for his construction/design skills, but, we all know that these types of projects invariably take longer and cost more than expected. We anticipate moving the end of September. We have defined what "move in ready" means. Keep checking back to see how the project is progressing.

Saying Goodbye to Judes

One of the most difficult parts of this adventure is saying goodbye to the friends we leave behind.

Red Tailed Hawk

I was lamenting the lack of wildlife in the city one day and I looked up to see a ginormous Red Tailed Hawk perched on a pole. Wildlife is all around us, all we have to do is look.

Rivet Relaxing

Rivet relaxing on the couch.

Endless Stairs

They don't call it the walking city for nothing. During my first week here, much of my transportation has been on foot and via the subway. These are some of the stairs up to street level from Porter Square T-station. I counted 178 in all. Who needs the gym!

The Dog Park

Heidi and Alex's siberian huskies LOVE to go to the dog park where they can hang out with their friends and run off leash to their hearts content. This is Alex with Wingnut.
